Elton’s first live album was taken from an in-concert radio broadcast that he, drummer Nigel Olsson, and bassist Dee Murray made at A&R Recording Studios in New York City on November 17, 1970. The record hit No. 11 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and made Elton the first artist since the Beatles to have four albums charting simultaneously on the American charts.
