Breaking Hearts

Elton John’s 18th studio album reached No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart and No. 20 on the Billboard Top 200. The album sparked three hit singles: Sad Songs (Say So Much), Who Wears These Shoes?, and In Neon (in the US) and Passengers (in the UK). Sad Songs peaked at No. 2 on the Adult Contemporary chart in the US, while Who Wears These Shoes? reached No. 11 on the same chart. In the UK, the single Passengers took the No. 5 spot in the summer of 1984.
