Elton John’s 30th studio album, The Captain & the Kid, is a 31-year sequel to Captain Fantastic And the Brown Dirt Cowboy. Recorded in Atlanta, it hit No. 18 on Billboard’s Top 200, No. 7 on the US Rock Albums chart, and No. 6 on the UK Official Albums Chart. The Bridge was released as a radio single, peaking at No. 19 on the Billboard Hot Contemporary Adult Tracks chart. This album is also notable in that it is the first time that both Elton and Bernie Taupin have appeared on the front cover.
