Elton John's second album with producer T Bone Burnett, was in many ways inspired by the producer’s attendance at the artist's first concert in America – at The Troubadour club in LA in August 1970. Written and recorded during two sets of sessions, in January 2012 and 2013, it uses many of the same musicians that had played on The Union, with the additions of bassist Raphael Saadiq and famed Motown percussionist Jack Ashford. The album reached No. 3 on the UK Albums Chart and No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200.
