The Union, Elton John’s collaboration with and love letter to his long-time idol Leon Russell, captures an emotional connection between two piano masters and singers. The album reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart and No. 3 on their Top 200. The song If It Wasn’t For Bad was nominated for a 2011 Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals while the album scored a perfect five-star review from Rolling Stone magazine.
